An empty figure template is inserted into the current paragraph when selecting the command Paragraph > New Figure.
After selecting the template the figure content can be pasted from the clipboard into the template or an image file can be dropped onto the empty figure template. The figure can always be exchanged by pasting new content. Figure content images are copied to the document.

The figure can be scaled by a pinch gesture. It can be moved by dragging it to another location within the same paragraph. The picture can be opened and edited by double clicking onto the image.
At the left-upper corner of the image is a small menu icon which gives access to the commands to change the text flow, to export the image and to precisely position it. The menu command Export exports the image, the menu commands Continuous Text Flow and Block Text Flow change the text flow around the image. If the Text Flow is continuous the figure is either left or right aligned to the the paragraph border depending on to which it is closest moved to.
The command Position allows to precisely position and scale the figure within the paragraph.
An image file can be dropped into a paragraph.
A figure can be copied and pasted into other paragraphs.

After selection the figure can be deleted with the command Paragraph > Delete Figure. The deletion is undoable.
