Drosophila cell growth conditions

Medium: Drosophila Schneider Medium (Gibco/Lifescience) + 10 % Fetal Calf Serum (FCS, Gibco/Lifescience) + 1/100 Penicillin/Streptomycin (10.000 Untis/ml stock) (Gibco/Lifescience) + 1/100 Glutamine (200 mM stock) (Gibco/Lifescience)

Selective medium: same as above + 10 µg/ml Puromycin (Puromycin stock: 10 mg/ml in 100 mM HEPES, pH 7.3) (Puromycin: Serva #33835.02)

Growth: 25˚C For optimal growth, cell density should be between 1-4 x106 cells/ml For Tandem affinity purification we use between 0.5 - 2.0 x109 cells.
